Ξεκίνησε στις 4 Σεπτεμβρίου 2023 και για δεύτερη συνεχή χρονιά στην Καβάλα το 2ο Διεθνές Θερινό Σχολείο – Kavala International Summer School με θέμα την πολιτική και πολιτισμική σημασία των υδάτων, εγχώριων και διεθνών.
Το θερινό σχολείο, που φιλοξενείται φέτος στη μεγάλη Λέσχη Καβάλας και θα διαρκέσει ως και τις 10 Σεπτεμβρίου, διεξάγεται στην αγγλική γλώσσα και απευθύνεται κυρίως σε φοιτητές και φοιτήτριες, και διοργανώνεται από το Ινστιτούτο Εξωτερικών Υποθέσεων (FAINST) με την συνεργασία του Πανεπιστημίου Φρίντριχ Σίλερ της Ιένας (Jena Center for Reconciliation Studies, JCRS) και το American College of Thessaloniki (ACT).
Το Kavala International Summer School συνδυάζει την ακαδημαϊκή θεωρία και την διπλωματική πρακτική για την ανάλυση πολιτικών και συμπεριφορών που ενθαρρύνουν την συμφιλίωση, την ανεκτικότητα, την κοινωνική συνοχή και την καλή γειτονία σε τοπικό, εθνικό, και διεθνές επίπεδο, εστιάζοντας στην περιφερειακή συνεργασία και την ανάπτυξη.
Οι συμμετέχοντες παίρνουν επίσης μέρος σε πρακτικές δραστηριότητες υπό την καθοδήγηση καθηγητών, ερευνητών και διπλωματών, και εργάζονται πάνω σε αληθινές υποθέσεις μαζί με ανώτερους διπλωμάτες.
